Below are three primary logo concepts for Phx Sober Living, with multiple variations within each concept. Before each concept I will describe what I was thinking and offer my take on the meaning behind each one. These are rough concepts and shown in black and white so as to focus only on the idea and structure for each one. This is also to show that the concepts can be successfully reproduced when color is not an option.
As you browse through the logo designs please narrow your selection down to one (1). If there are certain elements from other designs that trigger ideas or something you feel you like, feel free to note that and we can work to see what we can do to make any necessary refinements. The next stage of the design process I will present you with the finals design in color. Thanks!
Below is the final logo design. This incorporates the changes requested and also showcases two business card/color options. Typically I present one option for the business card, but I liked them both and wanted to offer you the chance to provide your feedback.
Simply typographic. These concepts are base around functional type treatments and consist primary of wordmarks. No frills or clutter, just straightforward designs with the focus on the name. Each has its own character and unique style to communicate in a blunt way the seriousness of the disease and the realness of the recovery process.
Iconic hierarchy. As a different take on the name, and taking into consideration that these houses will become part of a larger brand, these concepts including the house name in ways that can be easily swapped out. Whether they are “banners” or hidden under the “stairs” they each get a chance to hold their own character and still be represented by the primary brand.
Houses and enclosures. Each of these three iterations are simple structures, houses and enclosures that make the focus of the name on what it does.
